Development and implementation polymer flooding for increasing reservoir recovery Sarkyt E. Kudaibergenov, Doctor of Chemistry, Professor, chief of Engineering profile laboratory of K.I. Satpayev KazNTU, director of private institution “Institute of polymer materials and technologies”. Recognized specialist in chemistry and physics of polymers, winner of KazSSR State Prize in science and technology (1986), winner of “Parasat” award as most published and cited Kazakh author (2010), badge of Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan “For services in development of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (2012), honorary professor of Shakarim Semipalatinsk State University (2011). Scientific direction is connected with development and implementation of polymers for special purposes in oil industry, petrochemistry, catalysis, nanotechnology, biotechnology, medicine and environment protection. He is co-author and published 15 monographs, which were published in Russian, Polish and English languages, more than 400 scientific articles and reviews, and more than 100 of them were published in English language in international journals and editions with high impact-factor. He has more than 1400 citations, and his h-index is 12 (http://scholar.google.com/citations?user=LNiW1-4AAAAJ&hl=en). In 2002 he published fundamental monograph “Polyampholyets: Synthesis, Characterization and Application” in English language by “Kluwer Academic/Plenum Publishers” (New-York, Boston, Dordrecht, London, Moscow). According to “ISI Web of Knowledge” analysis he holds leading position among 25 scientists of world in synthesis and research of polymeric ampholyte. He is a member of editorial board of International journal “Supramolecular Catalysis” and International Organization Committee of International symposium of IUPAC “Macro Molecular Complexes”. And he is an expert of 6th and 7th Framework Programme (FP6 and FP7) of European Union.
|Aim of project: development and further commercialization of polymer flooding technology for increasing reservoir recovery of oil fields in Kazakhstan, including: 1) Development and creation of physical laboratory model of formation, studying of core samples, polymers and formation fluids of different fields; 2) Testing of polymer flooding technology on physical laboratory model of formation; 3) Carrying out boardbanded test of polymer flooding technology under polygon conditions; 4) Realization of pilot test of polymer flooding technology on field.|

|Erzhan Moldashevich Sapargaliev (1955)
He was born in Novoberezovka, Bolshenarymskii region of East Kazakhstan oblast.
In 1977 he graduated from V.I. Lenin KazPTI, where he studied “Geology and minerals prospecting”.
1980-81 he studied an “Ecology and increasing efficiency of using of natural resources” in G.V. Plekhanov Leningrad Mineral Resources Institute.
1993 – 2007 he was chief of Altai department of K.I. Satpaev Institute of Geological sciences. He was a supervisor and executive of scientific researches of fundamental and applied significance on “Great Altai” issue. On the basis of Tagan deposit for the first time in post-Soviet territory pharmaceutical bentonite reserves – montmorillonite – were approved by Mineral resources classification State Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He is a developer of “Tagansorbent”- first medical enterosorbent in Kazakhstan, bioactive food additives and sorbents with antiviral and antibacterial action on the basis of montmorillonite, and they are produced by “Sorbent” LLC in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
The results of researches were stated in 75 scientific works, including 2 monographs (co-authorship), 15 patents and provisional patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Russian Federation for inventions.
Since 2008 he is a director of “Altai geological-ecological institute”, academic of “Academy of mineral resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. He is the Honors mineral resource explorer of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
|Aim of project: On the basis of unique bentonite clay deposits, which are located in East Kazakhstan, around Zaisan lake, will be organized pilot production of mineral additive in animal feed. The substantial compound of bentonites, carbonate-siliceous rocks of deposit were studied, and method and technology of making mineral additives for different animals were developed. Mineral additives will be tested on animals in research centers of Kazakhstan and Russian Federation. It is planned to build plant for production of mineral additive in animal feed with 1000.0 ton output and with 60 million tenge revenue in a year. Pilot plant is going to be organized in Akzhar village – Tarbagatai region of East Kazakhstan oblast. Frontier region of oblast will get new plant, which will give new job for dozens of families. Recently the several intensive animal farming complexes are being founded in East Kazakhstan regions, and they can bring the total amount of livestock to 150 000 heads. And it will create opportunity to realize new product of this project.|

|Aim of project: Li/S batteries, along with low toxicity, low price, have high energy density among all existing batteries (theoretical value is 1 676 mAh g-1), i.e. this technology allows increase the run of electric cars on one charge by 6-7 times, but using of fire-dangerous lithium constrains their practical application. In this project there will be developed a prototype of new Li/S battery, which doesn’t contain metallic lithium, for using in renewable energetics, electric-battery cars and electronics. This battery shows stable work with capacity more than 1200 mAh g-1 and 100% coulombic efficiency of cycling under laboratory conditions.|

|Aim of project: Its aim is giving high-accuracy forecast of earth surface condition on large area by using remote sensing.
Method: data and image processing is made on SARScape module of ENVI complex. There will be made an interferogram of earth surface displacement on underworked territory of Karaganda city by using CosmoSkyMed 1-4 satellite radar images. The exact data about location of deformation processes of underworked territory is collected. There will be held monitoring with GPS system and levelling for systematic inspection. On the basis of collected data scientists make geomechanical calculations and analysis of underworked territory falling with allowance for time factor.
Result: there will be developed innovative software, which gives opportunity to create and analyze a geoinformational model of earth surface condition, to estimate displacement and falling adjusted for course of geodynamical processes. By using this software research team will have opportunity to render engineering services to agrotechnical complexes and mining industry.
