Oleg L. Khasanov graduated with honors from physics and technology department of Tomsk Polytechnic Institute (FTD TPI) in 1981. The post-graduate studying of TPI (1981-1984) on “thermal physics and molecular physics”. Candidate of Physics and Mathematics (1986). Academic rank according to VAK is “senior research worker” (1990). Tomsk regional management school (1991). The doctoral studies of TPI in “technology of silicate and refractory non-metallic materials” (1999-2003). Doctor of Engineering (2004). He has certificates of: JEOL about passing advanced training to work on JSM 7500F, JEM 2100F electron microscopes (2008); the United States Department of Commerce about training on “Technology commercialization” programme (The SABIT Program, 2002); also State certificate about completing the training on “Fundamentals of technology commercialization” programme (Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, 2002).

Employment: engineer of FTD TPI (1981); post-graduate of TPI (1981-1984); junior research worker of Nuclear physics Research Institute of TPI (1984-1985), head of scientific research laboratory (SRL) № 01 of FTD TPI, deputy dean of FTD on scientific work (1985-1988), head of SRL FTD TPI “Temperature” (1988-1996), director of Research center of promising and unconventional technologies “Spektr” TPU (1996-2007). From 2007 he is director of Nano-Center of TPU; professor, head of “Nanomaterials and nanotechnology” deparment of TPU. From 2007 he is expert of International scientific and technological center of technology commercialization. Expert of ROSNANO Corporation (2009). 1991-1992, 1998-1999 – a member of Materials Research Society (USA). In 1998 he read lectures in Ulsan University as visiting professor (South Korea). A member of Executive Committee of European Ceramic Society (2003). Reviewer of “Materials Chemistry and Physics” (2007). 2000-2010 – member of Programme Committees of 5th and 9th All-Russia conferences “Physics and Chemistry of superdispersive (nano) systems”.
Research interests: an expert in materials science of superdispersive materials; industry of nanosystems and materials; technologies of creating and processing composite and ceramic materials.
Scientific works: Ph. D. thesis (1984) on “Studying surface properties of superdispersive particles of metals by using atomic- and nuclear-physical methods of analysis”. Thesis for a Doctor's degree on “The scientific fundamentals of dry compacting of superdispersed powder in nanoceramics production technology” (2003). Author of more than 150 publications, including articles and reports on conferences, co-author of inventions, which were patented in Russia (2004); USA (2005); Commonwealth of Independent States (2005); Ukraine (2006); South Korea (2008); European Union (2009).
